Saimaa Kayaks inflatable Expedition 1 is a small, fast, high quality and directionally stable kayak. The Expedition 1 is the most rigid model of inflatable kayaks and a good choice for the more experienced paddler. The edges and bottom of the kayak are made from the same material used for SUP boards. dropstitch constructionwhich is very stiff and durable. With this construction the kayak is the closest thing to the rigidity and glide of a hard kayak that an inflatable kayak can have at all, as minimal energy goes into flexing the hull. The package comes with everything you need ready to go!
The narrower profile, removable fin and V-shaped hard plastic bow and stern braces keep the kayak perfectly aligned and the kayak cuts through the water like a hot knife through butter! The bow and stern braces also split the waves better and make landings easier by absorbing shocks. A handy upright folded splash guard on the bow cover helps keep the waves out.

The kayak floor is covered on the top with a durable EVA (cellular plastic) coating, which protects the floor and prevents slipping when getting in and out of the kayak. The edges of the kayak as well as the floor are their own air chambers, providing safety on the water. The bow and stern covers are made colourful so that the kayak can be seen from a distance in the waves. The bottom has drain valves. The load capacity of the kayak is 130kg.
The bench is thicker than a normal fabric bench (7cm) and slightly cup-shaped on the sides for extra support and comfort when paddling. The bench is well adjustable and has quick-release fasteners. The footrests also have fair adjustments and are adjustable from child to adult. All quick-release fastenings and the kayak's integrated D-rings are made of galvanised aluminium.
The aluminium paddle with plastic paddles is 220cm long and weighs 1050g. The paddle can be disassembled into four pieces, so it packs into a small space. The paddle has three different blade angle adjustment options, as well as spillage stops on the shaft.
The package includes the paddle, bench, footrest, fast dual function pump (pull and push), carrying bag, fin, deck straps for carrying your gear and a repair kit. The canoe can be quickly filled to paddling condition in about ten minutes and easily packed back into the carrying bag in a few minutes. The quality kayak comes with a three-year warranty.
