A Sabre 1700 wing, F82 fuselage, and 320 tail wing that was on display as a demo model at the Mistral showroom, available at an outlet price. Condition is like new, with only very minor cosmetic dents and stains. The package also includes three shims for the rear wing, a carrying bag for the entire set, two Torx keys, and bolts for the front wing. The bolts for the rear wing are missing from the package.
The Sabre is an excellent first foil kit in terms of value for money, particularly suited for freeride wingfoiling. The front wing is the most important lift-generating component of the hydrofoil system, and the design of this model focuses on the essential characteristics for foiling: easy takeoff, good longitudinal stability, and performance that serves the user from the practice phase all the way to intermediate-level foiling.
The mid-aspect front wing, with an area of 1,700 cm², is suitable for riders weighing approximately 70–90 kg and is an excellent first foil set for wind conditions of about 15–25 knots. The rear stabilizer has a surface area of 320 cm², which makes the foil extremely stable in both longitudinal motion (pitch) and lateral rotation (yaw). Good stability is especially important when learning the basics of foiling and developing intermediate skills.
The total length of the fuselage is 82 cm. The distance between the trailing edge (TE) of the front wing and the leading edge (LE) of the rear stabilizer is 53 cm.
The milled aluminum fuselage forms the rigid frame of the hydrofoil assembly and connects the front wing, the rear stabilizer, and the mast to one another. The rigid structure provides the user with the most precise feel possible and improves the foil’s controllability. The 82-cm fuselage is manufactured from an aluminum billet via CNC machining directly from 3D design files. The wide mounting surface of the front wing increases the structure’s torsional rigidity compared to individual support mounts. It is secured with three Torx screws made of stainless steel.
The Sabre package includes four shims of different sizes, which are installed between the tail stabilizer and the fuselage. These allow you to adjust the foil’s behavior to suit your preferences. The Plus shim increases the angle of attack (AOA), causing the foil to generate more upward lift at the bow of the board. The larger the angle, the more the board’s nose tends to rise—and conversely, the smaller the angle, the less pronounced the effect. Each shim is labeled according to the angle of attack it produces.
The front wing and rear stabilizer are made of 12K twill carbon fiber using a high-pressure compression molding process, which increases the structural strength. The board’s mounting plate is machined aluminum and designed for a dual-rail foil mounting system.
All parts of the package are delivered in a high-quality, padded, zippered storage and transport bag.
