SUP board with motor is here! The air-filled SUP board has a place for an electric motor in the frame. A SUP board with motor makes upwind paddling enjoyable and extends your jogging time tremendously. What's more, the motor also has a compressor that pumps the board up for you in less than ten minutes! The SUP board and motor are easy to pack into their backpacks and transport, weighing just 12.7kg.
The SUP board motor works on the jet principle (the motor unit has a tunnel where the propeller creates a current and pushes the board forward) and has three different speeds, the fastest of which can reach up to 6.5km/h! The paddle has a remote control which allows you to select the gear from three different speeds. Battery life at an assisted cruising speed of 2 km/h is three hours. The battery takes three hours to charge from a standard socket.
The motor is built into the frame of a Jobe Duna SUP board measuring 350cm x 79cm x 15cm, 320L, 18PSI / 11'6" x 31" x 6". The Jobe Duna is the nobility of travel SUPs: thanks to its sharp bow and angled tail, it's a stable and really smooth-riding SUP that changes scenery quickly even without a motor, and doesn't need to change paddling sides as often as round-bottomed models. For the 2021 collection, Jobe's sup boards have added PVC stiffeners to both the deck and the bottom, which stiffen the board for faster cruising even with a heavier load. The deck has two rubber straps to carry your gear, so you can easily carry your accessories even on a longer trip. The package includes a rigid and lightweight top-quality carbon fibre paddle and a handy click-fin with no parts to lose.
The motorised sup-board stays well aligned with a single 20cm deep centre fin and an angled tail shape. These features, combined with a long waterline, give the board excellent glide. The maximum load capacity of the SUP board is 115kg and the weight of the board with the motor is 12.7kg.
The SUP board has an EVA (Anti Slip Pad) plastic top surface that is both grippy and warming so you can paddle without slipping. The board has carrying handles in the middle, bow and stern for easy handling. Unpacking and packing the SUP board in the carrying bag is easy thanks to the fair-sized carrying bag and the bag designed for the motor.
The manufacturing process of the AERO range is one of the most advanced in the industry: the materials (PVC plastics, dropstitch core sewn in an X-pattern to hold the board in shape) are fused together using heat bonded technology to make the board lighter, stronger and more rigid than cheaper boards where the materials are glued together. This makes the joints stronger and more durable.
