Saimaa SUP Moon 11.8 (355x76x15cm / 11.6" x 30 x 6", 327L, 9,5kg) is a a top-sliding touring board, one of the flagship models in the Saimaa range. The board is made with the best and most durable materials (Fusion PVC), which allow it to up to 25psi pressure. The package is crowned with a lightweight and rigid carbon fibre paddle and quick-locking fin (no loose/disposable parts!) and of course three-year warranty.
If finning means more to you than just lounging on the beach, Saimaa SUP Moon is the real deal. sneaker runner's dream. However, the board is stable enough for beginner paddlers, too, with a width of 76cm. In comparison, the rickety boards are 60-66 cm. Customer feedback has led to the addition of second deck straps to the back of the board, so that even larger camping gear can be carried.
The Moon is designed with the most essential features for gliding in mind: a long waterline, a sharp bow and a rectangular stern. The long waterline gives the board directional stability, the sharp bow breaks waves and the rectangular tail reduces the giant roll and helps with directional stability, so you can take several strokes per side before the board starts to turn and you need to change paddling sides.
Add to these features a light and stiff carbon fibre paddle that fits in the hand and a quick-fit tool-free fin and it's clear that the Moon 11.8 is the fastest board in the Saimaa range. A true hard-core enthusiast will pump another 25psi of pressure into the board, bringing the hull stiffness closer to that of a hard-bodied board and making the scenery change even more quickly in the toughest waves. However, it is worth remembering that the stiff and strong Fusion material works fine at 15psi. From the centre folding fin box the board is easy to roll into a backpack. Maximum load capacity 140kg.

We recommend the board for short and long funnels. Moon is about 1,5km/h faster than for example Saimaa Sup Pike.
