The Saimaa SUP Star 14.0 (427 × 71 × 15 cm / 14’ × 28” × 6”, 350 L, 11.9 kg) is one of the fastest inflatable touring SUP boards on the market – designed and developed in Finland. The Star was created to combine exceptional speed and directional stability with just enough balance for relaxed long-distance paddling. In testing, skilled paddlers have achieved average speeds up to 9 km/h and top speeds exceeding 10 km/h. Built from Machine Weave Fusion Dropstitch PVC, the board is both light and extremely stiff, handling pressures up to 25 PSI with ease. The hard plastic nose efficiently cuts through waves, while dual deck bungees at the nose and tail provide plenty of storage for gear. A raised kicktail enables advanced paddlers to perform quick pivot turns by shifting weight back and lifting the nose. The rear bungees can be quickly removed for more maneuverability during dynamic paddling.
