Kayak transport equipment

A trolley is a handy way to transport and move a kayak or sup-boat to shore. They are designed especially for places where the transfer from storage or from a car to the beach is a bit more difficult, and above all for situations where the kayak has to be moved by one person.

The trolleys pack into a small space without tools, so they are easy to pack into the kayak when going out on the water. The trolley is designed to be safe and easy to use. The upper parts of the trolley are equipped with padding to protect the kayak from scratches and bumps during transport.

In our range you will find different sizes of trolleys for different needs, if you need help choosing, our knowledgeable customer service team is here to help!

When transporting a kayak, make sure the load is secured firmly but not too tightly. Straps that are pulled excessively tight can put unnatural pressure on the hull, which may cause damage or warping—especially if the kayak is strapped for a long time in warm temperatures. Vibrations from transport can also loosen screws and bolts, so it’s a good idea to check them one by one after the trip. Fishing kayaks often have many removable parts that should be detached before transportation. Paddle and rod holders, seats, rail mounts, and other easily detachable accessories should be removed or double-secured to prevent loss or safety hazards during transport. The correct transport position for a kayak depends on its model, structure, and the specific transport equipment used. The best position is on its side in a padded J-rack, as the sides of the kayak are its strongest part. We recommend this position whenever possible—especially in hot weather, since PE plastic softens more easily in high temperatures. If you use other transport methods, always add padding to the roof rack to prevent excessive point pressure. For long kayaks, windy conditions, long drives, or highway travel, we also recommend securing the kayak with additional straps at the bow and stern. Remember to mark any bow or stern overhang with a red flag and/or light when driving at night.
