The Jaykay E-FIN 2.0 is an electric motor that attaches to your SUP board, kayak, or even a quick release! The motor has a powerful battery integrated into the frame, so there's no need for a separate power supply or wiring. The propeller allows you to go forward as well as backward.
The electric motor on the Jaykay SUP board can be operated in two ways; you can choose between fully automatic operation, which means the propeller will rotate continuously. The speed of the propeller is infinitely adjustable by means of a remote control attached to the paddle. The second option is the assisted mode, where the propeller starts with each stroke of the paddle and makes the sup-board or kayak run more smoothly when paddling, as the sup-board does not slow down when the paddle is lifted out of the water. The remote control senses the paddle's movement and can spin the propeller when the paddle is lifted out of the water.
The motor has an operating range of two to six hours, depending on the power output and the conditions and size of the board/kayak/paddle. The lithium battery has a capacity of 180 Wh and a voltage of 18 V DC. The motor produces a maximum of 360W of power, which will allow the sup-board to travel at best 7-8km/h.
Both the remote control and the electric motor are charged with the included chargers and the charging time is about 3.5h. The electric motor allows you to make longer trips faster, quieter and emission-free. The electric motor is a big help when you're sailing into a headwind, which expands your route planning possibilities enormously.
