The touring-sup Jobe Neva 12.6 (381cm x 76cm x 15cm, 320L, 20PSI / 12'6" x 30" x 6") is the longest and fastest board in Jobe's range of inflatable sup-boards. PVC stiffener on the bottom and deck makes the board even stiffer, so it's the fastest and most flexible board on the market. if you're into longer trips and faster speeds, then the Joben Neva 12.6 is your choice! The profile of the board is a bit narrower than the other boards, especially from the bow, but don't be alarmed by the narrowness, a couple of hours of practice will make this board feel right at home under you!
The package includes a redesigned Stream Paddle paddle, with a blade design that mimics a duck's flipper - a proven design in the wild that really works! The adjustable length paddle is made from 40% carbon fibre and 60% fibreglass, which won't buckle and gives good performance for more active paddling.
In addition to the board's long waterline, narrow body, sharp bow and angled tail, the water resistance of the board has been further reduced, with a water-resistance reducing bottom design added to the back to make the glide even better. The Neva 12.6 touring supersup has low water resistance, excellent directional stability and a smooth ride. In addition, the board has a shallow bow fin which keeps the board more stable than ever. Depending on the technique, you can easily take more than ten strokes per side before the board starts to turn. The kayak-like sharp bow of the hull breaks waves very well even when paddling into a headwind, so you can take this sup for a challenge in rough weather!
The sup's top is made of super soft and grippy EVA (Anti Slip Pad) plastic, so you can paddle without slipping. The board lid has a Halkey Roberts valve, carrying handle and two deck straps to carry your gear for longer trips. The board works perfectly even with a 130kg load, with a maximum load of 150kg.. The weight of the board itself is only 10.2kg, which is the lightest on the market considering the characteristics of the board.
The manufacturing process of the AERO range from Joben is one of the most advanced in the industry: the sup boards have materials (PVC plastics, dropstitch core sewn in an X-pattern to hold the board in shape) fused together by heat bonded technology, making the board lighter, more durable and stiffer than cheaper boards where the materials are glued together. This makes the seams stronger and longer lasting, which is why Jobe recognises a five-year guarantee even if they are rolled open and closed every day!
