The Pedal Fisher pedal fishing kayak from Saimaa Kayaks meets the demands of even the toughest fisherman! With Pedal Fisher you fish with your hands free pedaling along the waterways and managing up to four free if needed. A very stable and portable kayak topped with a very comfortable bench with good controlsthat will keep you sitting on the paddleboard for hours on end!
The kayak has two perforated freeboard or shotgun rails behind the bench and there are also rails on both sides in front of the bench for accessories such as ball-joint swivel freeboards, sonar screen holders or other personalised fittings that you can adjust to your preferred distances. The front of the canoe's seat box has 15cm long transverse equipment rails on the left and right sides. The Fisher has a hole in the front for the transducer, which can be easily slid over the slats under the kayak. An optional stand allows the sonar display to be attached to the side or front of the kayak.

Two watertight storage compartments with lids and a large open storage compartment with a rubber band at the rear. The pedal unit can also be replaced with an optional storage box with lid, making the kayak a regular paddling kayak. Of course, you can still paddle even with the pedals installed. When you arrive at the paddock, there is a handy rack for the paddle on the side of the kayak, leaving space for fishing.
The pedal unit works by pedalling back and forth which moves a lateral "fin" under the kayak, which produces a forward pushing current. The pedal position has a large range of adjustment and rubber adjustable footrests. The fins are 30cm deep, rubberised and slightly flexible, so they won't be startled by possible bottoming. When going ashore or fishing in shallow water, the pedal unit is easy to lift off with a quick release, so the kayak is only a few centimetres deep. The fin also lifts up with a pull on the line. The opening in the pedal unit also makes it easy to get a drink while sitting on the bench and enjoying a refreshing drink, and a cup holder is included!
The aluminium-framed bench is made of breathable, wear-resistant, rigid and, above all, comfortable material. The distance and angle of the backrest are infinitely adjustable and there are two separate height settings.
The frame of the fishing kayak is made of strong polyethylene, which resists grounding and possible hits on rocks and jetties on the beach. The kayak's good front, side and rear handles make it easy to handle on land.
The paddle is lightweight and detachable in two sections, made of aluminium and fitted with plastic paddles, is 240cm long and weighs 980g. The handle has a grab bar for the right hand, three different paddle angle adjustments and drainage stops on the platform. The paddle provides a very comfortable grip and a good feel for paddling.
