1 piece of the Saimaa SUP Moon board package that was in the showroom at an outlet price. Product was on display, but otherwise completely unused. 

Saimaa SUP Moon 11.8 (355x76x15cm / 11.6" x 30 x 6", 327L, 9,5kg) is excellent gliding travel board, one of the flagship models in the Saimaa range. The board is made with the best and most durable materials (UV-protected Fusion PVC), which allow it to up to 25psi pressure. The board has integrated canoe seat mounts which can also be used for transporting goods and handy lifting handles at the ends of the board. The package is crowned with a light and rigid carbon fibre paddle and quick-locking fin (no loose/disposable parts!) and of course three-year warranty.

If finning means more to you than just lounging on the beach, Saimaa SUP Moon is the real deal. sneaker runner's dream at a reasonable price. However, the board is also stable enough for a beginner paddler, with a width of 76cm. For comparison, the rickety shield boards are 60-66 cm. Based on customer feedback, the board has been upgraded to canoe seat brackets, which also serve as handy attachment points for carrying extra gear.

The Moon is designed with the most essential features for gliding in mind: a long waterline, a sharp bow and a rectangular stern. The long waterline gives the board directional stability, the sharp bow breaks waves and the rectangular stern reduces the giant roll and helps with directional stability, so you can take several strokes per side before the board starts to turn and you have to change paddling sides.

Add to these features a light and stiff carbon fibre paddle that fits in the hand, and a tool-free fin that attaches quickly, and it's clear that the Moon 11.8 is a great value for money touring board. A true hard-core enthusiast will pump another 25psi of pressure into the board, bringing the hull stiffness closer to that of a hard-bodied board and making the scenery change even more quickly in the roughest waves. However, it is worth remembering that the stiff and strong Fusion material performs well at 15psi. From the centre folding fin box the board is easy to roll into a backpack. Maximum load capacity 140kg.

We recommend the board for longer funnels. Moon is about 1,5km/h faster than for example Saimaa Sup Pike.
