The Saimaa Kayaks Expedition 2 is a stiff, high-performance inflatable kayak — the fastest and most directionally stable model in the lineup, ideal for solo or tandem touring. Its sides and hull are built with the same drop-stitch structure used in premium SUP boards, creating a durable and rigid form capable of holding higher air pressure. This design gives the Expedition 2 glide characteristics remarkably close to a hard-shell kayak, as minimal energy is lost to hull flex. Versatile Touring Performance

The Expedition 2 adapts easily for solo or two-person paddling — simply move the seat to the center position for solo use, leaving ample space for gear on longer trips. A long waterline, slim profile, and two removable fins (center and stern) ensure excellent tracking and control. Directional stability is further enhanced by hard-plastic V-shaped bow and stern reinforcements, which improve wave penetration and protect the kayak when landing on rocky shores. A practical raised spray guard at the bow deck helps keep waves out, making the kayak suitable even for choppy waters.

Durable Construction & Safe Design

The deck surface features a non-slip EVA foam layer, providing both comfort and traction when entering or exiting the kayak. The sides and floor have separate air chambers, improving safety and buoyancy. The colorful bow and stern covers enhance visibility from a distance, and a drain valve on the bottom ensures easy water removal. Load capacity: 215 kg

Comfort & Adjustability

The seats are thicker (4.5 cm) than standard fabric models and slightly contoured for better lateral support and comfort. Each seat includes solid adjustment options and galvanized quick-release buckles. The footrests are also fully adjustable, suitable for both children and adults. All quick-release fittings and integrated D-rings are made from galvanized aluminum for long-lasting corrosion resistance.

Paddle & Accessories

The included aluminum paddle with plastic blades is 220 cm long, weighs 1050 g, and can be disassembled into four parts for compact storage. It features three adjustable blade angles and drip rings to prevent water from running down the shaft. The package includes two paddles, two seats, two footrests, a high-capacity double-action pump (inflates on both pull and push), carry bag, two fins, deck bungee cords for gear, and a repair kit. The kayak can be inflated and ready for the water in about 15 minutes, and packed back into its carry bag in just a few minutes.
