Air-filled Mistral Skyway 7.0 windsurf / wingsurf / SUP package (213 x 81 x 15cm / 7' x 32" x 5,9", 210L) is a true multi-purpose package with a 3m2 sail for children, teenagers and light adults (<85kg) to learn windsurfing. The Mistral's top quality multihull is also suitable for lightweight bathing.
The Skyway is an excellent board for learning high lift wingfoiling, because the board's generous volume (210L) is very supportive and wingfoiling does not require high winds/ speeds like a real hydrofoil board with mast and wings, such as the Mistral Tempest board. So with the inflatable Skywave it is easy to learn how to use a sail or wing (optional) because you don't have to concentrate on keeping the board in the air/plane, leaving you the time and concentration to learn how to use the sail/wing and understand how the wind behaves and not fall over every mistake.
The Hydrofoil mast and wings on the Skywave have been replaced by Mistral-designed fair-sized masts and wings. 8-inch lateral fins in addition to the standard US finbox-mounted aft fin, which together prevent the board from collapsing upwind. The board has an 8mm twist which allows for the attachment of the rickshaw needed for windsurfing.
The 3m2 sail is made of transparent monofilm material and is lightweight and easy to handle, making windsurfing a breeze. The transparency provides safety and makes surfing easier thanks to the wide visibility. The sail, boom, mast and stand are quick and easy to assemble without tools.
Superstars are thought of with a high quality three-piece adjustable paddle, made of a carbon fibre/glass fibre (30/70%) combination which makes paddling faster and more comfortable. The paddle has an abrasion resistant polycarbonate paddle which is shaped to give maximum grip on the water.
The whole package (excluding sail and mast) fits into a 48 x 100 x 23 cm bag with all-round adjustable drawstrings, snap fasteners, padded shoulder straps, hip belt, inside pocket and two-way zipper with wide opening for easy packing of board and accessories. Rik has its own handy carrying bag where all the parts go with it and the boom acts as a handy carrying handle.
