The Mistral Skywave 6.6. is a beginner-friendly inflatable foil board that is easy to carry in a small space. The Skywave foil board has a relatively flat rocker line (curvature from bow to stern), which aids take-off by providing extra glide, further enhanced by the "fast flow" design that reduces water resistance in the stern. It's a good idea to practice using the wing on a kneeling board to start with, then you can stand up, which is easy with the Skyway 6.6 due to its width (81cm) and generous volume (170L). Once you get going, the board's rounded edges are a joy to ride on, as they are forgiving and the board's handlebars don't easily get stuck in a beginner's hands. The Mistral Skywave 6.6. is an excellent board for learning to fiddle!
The board is covered with soft and grippy EVA padding, which keeps your feet in place even without bindings. It's a good idea to start foiling without bindings, as your feet will find their place on the board and won't get tangled in the bindings. The board comes with removable and adjustable open straps, increasing the board's versatility as your skills improve. The board is suitable for fliers up to 100kg. The carbon fibre fin box can be used with Mistral Sabre and Sultan hydrofoil packages. The board is made of strong fusion PVC.
The package includes a runner, a dual function pump, a repair kit and a carrying bag with good storage space.
