Packraft Adventure Rapid - for rapids and rough going (275x88cm) Prototype

The first prototype of the Adventure model with thigh straps is now available at a clearance price of 749€. This model does not have the thigh strap attachment points at the optimum positions, but we will supply additional fasteners and glue to glue the attachment points where you want them.

Saimaa Kayaks Adventure Rapid is the choice of the adventurer who doesn't mind rapids and even wants to paddle up them - you get a huge amount of extra power and control with packraft's precisely designed thigh straps. To protect against the rapids' gusts, there's a cover with seat openings and a snap-on opening cover. The Adventure Rapid has excellent directional stability and glide thanks to its 275cm length and narrow profile, so manoeuvrability in rapids is excellent and even longer distances on flats are comfortably covered. For added directional stability, the bottom fin is positioned further back than usual to prevent it from breaking in rapids and collecting debris so easily.

The Packraft Adventure Rapid was designed in collaboration with a long-time Finnish paddler, with whom we tested a number of different models, thigh fin placements and weight points to come up with the Adventure Rapid. The model has four attachment points for the thigh straps, with several different height and length adjustments to give the Packraft a whole new level of control and power delivery for the legs. The adjustability also allows paddlers of different sizes to adjust the thigh straps for optimum fit. The seat and the superbly comfortable and supportive backrest also feature extra-long velcro and straps to allow the paddler to adjust the centre of gravity to suit the load and conditions. The package is topped off with an inflatable footrest - the result is a packraft that feels like you're sitting in the cockpit of a Formula 1 car, ready to climb up the rapids!

Your gear goes inside the zippered TI-ZIP poncho pocket and on the bow & stern where you can place a waterproof storage bag. The Adventure has a 190kg load capacity, so this packraft will carry your gear for even the longest hikes!

The Packraft Adventure Rapid has handy carrying handles at the front and rear and eight attachment loops on the outer edges of the pontoons, allowing you to customize attachment solutions to suit your needs. The Adventure Rapid is made with extra-strong, tear-resistant materials, so you can rely on your vehicle for long trips. The ponchos are 0.45mm thick 420D TPU nylon and the floor is 0.65mm 840D nylon which won't flinch on the ground.

Packraft has a three-year warranty.
