The Sequence from the Obrie collection is a water ski that makes it really easy to enter the fascinating world of slalom skiing! With the Sequence, you can easily get to the surface thanks to the ski's wide tip, but still make spectacular cutting turns with the base's tunnel shape and tapered tail. Although the design is made to be beginner-friendly, the construction is as high quality and stiff as the racing skis (excluding carbon fibres).
The wider tip of the sole of the water ski has partial tunnelling, which makes the ski stable. However, the tunnelling widens as the ski moves towards the rear to the full width of the base, allowing the ski to make very tight turns. The profile of the ski (rocker) is fairer than a racing ski, making the water ski more forgiving of cutting errors. The waterproof ski has a metal adjustable ARC fin that won't give up on a tight turn.
The package comes with Obrien's latest Z9 binding for excellent performance, providing an immediate feel to the ski. The binding has a lightweight and sturdy frame with a soft EVA sole that feels comfortable against the foot, so even longer skiing sessions are possible without foot fatigue. The Z9 binding is tightened with quick-release cords, making it easy to put on and take off and keeping it tight throughout the session.
The standard size Z9 bandage is optimally suited for size 39-45 feet. Ask for a larger bandage if needed!
